Teijin Aramid’s high performance materials improve the efficiency of military security equipment. The high-performance para-aramid Twaron® and the ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) Endumax® are used in military solutions, like body armor (e.g. for ballistic vests and helmets) as well as to protect vehicles and other logistical items. Both material provide a high resistance at a low weight. The aramids Twaron® and Teijinconex® additionally offer protection against heat and flame. They are used in military uniforms, as well as e.g. for pilot’s turnout gear.
