Objectively rating our CSR performance: EcoVadis certificates for Teijin Aramid
It’s our ambition to be the best high-performance fiber company for the world. We say ‘for the world’ because CSR isn’t simply a formality to us. We actively seek objective insights, feedback and tooling in order to benchmark and improve our practices. EcoVadis membership
EcoVadis ratings cover all aspects of CSR. Their team of experts analyze our data in order to create reliable ratings, taking into account relevant sectors, size and geographical location. The EcoVadis methodology is based on international Sustainable Development standards (Global Reporting Initiative, United Nations Global Compact, ISO 26000), and supervised by a scientific committee of CSR and Supply Chain experts, to ensure a reliable third-party assessment. Since 2016, EcoVadis has awarded us their Gold Certificate seven times, in recognition of our high standards in environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. This places Teijin Aramid in the top 2% of all companies rated by EcoVadis.

OEKO-TEX®

Teijin Aramid has successfully been granted authorization according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® to use the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® mark for several product types.

We have certificates for:

Several Twaron® para aramid filament yarns. (these yarns are e.g. used for staple fibers)
Several Technora® para aramid filament yarns, staple fibers, spunnized yarns
Teijinconex® and Teijinconex® neo meta aramid fiber, made in Thailand. (Raw White and dope dyed)
Teijinconex® meta aramid fiber, made in Japan. (Raw White and dope dyed)

Most certificates are according to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, Annex 4, , product class I.
For some Teijinconex® certificates STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, Annex 4- Supplement “PPE and materials for PPE”, product class II does apply.
