Research and Innovation: taking us to a brighter future
At Teijin Aramid, Research and Innovation are more than just words: it’s at the heart of everything we do. It’s what allows us to continue raising the bar for performance. Why, year after year, we invest over 4% of our turnover in research and development at our dedicated centers around the world. Why our patent portfolio now includes 114 innovations in 32 countries.
Whether at our core Research and Innovation Centers in Arnhem, Matsuyama and Iwakuni, our Application Competence Center in Wuppertal or our Shanghai Technical Center’s state-of-the-art laboratory, our technical experts are working side by side with local customers to take our solutions to the next level. At the same time, our teams are working closely with the Dutch Polymer Institute and academic institutions, sharing knowledge and helping to push science forward.
These collaborations are driving progress, helping to change industries and improve lives. Going forward, with our partners, we’ll continue investing in and refining our technology and digital capabilities to make the world a better, safer place. One step at a time.
Knowledge institutes
In order to ultimately deliver products that can add value for our customers, we work closely with a wide network of knowledge institutes. By cooperating with the Dutch Polymer Institute and various academic institutions, among others, we can leverage know-how within the scientific community and keep abreast of polymer developments. Indeed, our aim is not only to share knowledge, but to build it. Through our involvement with the European Marie Curie fellowship initiative, for example, we can safeguard fundamental, explorative and innovative scientific developments.
