Helmet standards poster

Helmet ballistic standards differ in test methods, witness systems, V50 calculation rules, and fragment projectile specifications, making cross-standard comparison time-consuming from source documents alone. This poster consolidates NIJ 0106.01, VPAM APR 2006, STANAG 2920 ed.2, MIL-Std-662f, NATO AEP 2920 Ed. A, and MIL DTL 45693B onto a single large-format reference sheet, with FSP and RCC projectile specs, helmet cut diagrams, and Twaron® prepreg processing parameters.

After downloading the poster you will have:

  • A side-by-side test method comparison covering witness systems, V50 definition and calculation, and shot count requirements across STANAG 2920 and MIL-Std-662f.
  • Complete FSP and RCC projectile specifications from AEP 2920 and MIL DTL 45693B, with weight, hardness, and dimensional data for classes F1 to F6, G5 to G9, and R1 to R7.
  • Twaron® prepreg processing parameters for PVB Phenolic, PVB Pure, and PA12 Filament systems, co-located with the standards data for design and specification work.
