Together with Teijin Carbon Europe and the Teijin Group’s core carbon-fibers business we will participate in the SAMPE Europe 2020 Conference in Amsterdam on 30 September as one of the main sponsors for the event.
The SAMPE Europe is one of the largest conferences related to composite materials and technologies. This year, the conference will be held virtually and registration is available via https://www.sampe-europe.org/uploads/vdlp/images/sampe/conferences/conference-20-amsterdam/SE_Conference_20_Amsterdam_SessionsProgram_28_2SEPT.pdf
We will together with Teijin Carbon introduce Tenax® carbon fibers and Twaron® and Technora® para-aramid fibers composite materials for civil engineering.
Aiming to be a company that supports the society of the future by contributing to more sustainable and robust infrastructure, and strengthening our composites businesses for civil engineering applications including architecture, ground and bridge reinforcements.
Furthermore, we try to push the boundaries of architecture, by creating unique values with combining Tenax® and Twaron®. The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam situated in the center of the city is famous for its façade and canopy of the new wing building known affectionately as the “bathtub”. Measuring 100 meters by 25 meters, it is the world’s first and largest-scale composite building using Twaron® and Tenax®, forming a striking contrast to the original neo-renaissance building of the museum while appearing to float freely in the air. Teijin has been sponsoring the museum as one of the many cultural initiatives based on its corporate the company’s philosophy to grow and evolve in harmony with society.
Our colleague Nico Huntink will give his presentation at 11am about Reinforcement of asphalt with Twaron® fibers.
