Your responsibilities:
- Perform all procurement activities, such as product and market research, supplier selection, contracting suppliers, and monitoring their performance
- Develop procurement plans and objectives for your own procurement package
- Demonstrate added value as an advisor in meetings, thinking from the customer’s needs and ensuring oversight of the procurement process
- Make a substantial contribution to the further development and professionalization of the procurement function within Teijin Aramid’s complex and evolving procurement environment
- Prepare (management) reports and analyses

About the team and role
In this role, you report to the Spend Manager and are primarily based in Delfzijl. The overall procurement team consists of 17 people. You collaborate with colleagues within the procurement team located in Emmen, Delfzijl, and the headquarters in Arnhem. Despite the different locations, you actively seek each other out and work closely together, with knowledge sharing and coordination at the core. As a Senior Buyer (internal job title: Purchaser B), you are responsible for multiple procurement packages, such as CAPEX projects, technical services, and equipment.
The procurement volume of your portfolio amounts to approximately €15–20 million. As Senior Buyer, you operate as a full-fledged business partner and easily switch between analysis, strategy, and advisory work. You combine sharp market and product analyses with a strong, consultative role towards both management and internal stakeholders. This role offers ample perspective for an ambitious professional who wants to contribute to the further development and professionalization of a complex procurement environment.
Your profile
In addition to a completed education at a minimum of HBO level and NEVI 2 knowledge level (or equivalent), you have knowledge of strategic and tactical procurement processes and a broad understanding of goods, services, markets, industries, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Experience with SAP procurement modules is a plus and enables you to work efficiently and in a data-driven manner.
- You are a proactive and results-oriented negotiator with strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey knowledge and insights clearly.
- You have excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written; knowledge of German is a plus.
- You work independently and take ownership, but also feel comfortable collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
- You have a clear affinity for engineering and feel at home in a technically complex environment.

Flexibiliteit – Flexibele werktijden en de mogelijkheid om hybride te werken, afhankelijk van de functie.
