For our location in Emmen, we are immediately looking for a Purchasing Assistant
You gain energy from conducting market and product analyses, developing clear reports and identifying opportunities to make our processes smarter, more consistent and more efficient.
Additionally, you play an important supporting and advisory role toward colleagues. With your insights and approach, you help ensure that we work increasingly better, faster and more data driven as a team.
Responsibilities
- Collecting and maintaining up to date procurement data, product information and pricing.
- Identifying discrepancies between requested and delivered goods and services in SAP.
- Monitoring KPIs, lead times and quality performance.
- Preparing procurement reports and spend analyses.
- Managing contracts, placing purchase orders and follow up.
- Acting as the point of contact for questions from internal customers and external suppliers.
- Requesting quotations, conducting minor negotiations and ordering products and services.
- Handling administrative processing of orders and any complaints.
- Identifying and initiating process improvement opportunities.
About the department and role
The department
As a Purchasing Assistant, you will contribute broadly to the wide range of procurement activities within our team. You will not only support day to day operational tasks, but also play an active role in identifying opportunities to make processes smarter, faster and more efficient. Following a LEAN philosophy, we expect you to bring fresh ideas and improvement initiatives that continuously elevate our way of working.
The Purchasing Team consists of approximately 18 colleagues, spread across our locations in Arnhem, Delfzijl and Emmen. In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders throughout the organization and report directly to the Category Manager Technical Materials and Services.
The role
As a Purchasing Assistant, you will start with your own procurement portfolio, carefully composed to match your experience and ambitions. This portfolio is shared with the other assistant. You will work closely with our procurement professionals, helping you quickly become familiar with our processes and enabling you to take independent responsibility within your portfolio.
From the very beginning, you will contribute to our main objective: building a smart, reliable and future proof procurement chain. Together with your colleagues, you will help further professionalize the procurement function within Teijin Aramid.
Your profile
You have completed at least a bachelor’s degree (HBO level), preferably in Business Administration or Economics. Some relevant work experience is an advantage, but not required.
What you bring:
- You have completed the NEVI 1 procurement qualification, or you are motivated to start this training in the near future and further develop yourself within the procurement field.
- You have experience with the SAP procurement module or extensive experience with comparable ERP systems, enabling you to quickly understand processes and work efficiently.
- You have an excellent command of both Dutch and English, verbally and in writing, and you are able to communicate information clearly and professionally.
- You are a true team player with strong social and communication skills; you know how to connect with colleagues, switch easily and contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment.
