About Teijin Aramid and the department
Teijin Aramid is an innovative chemical production company and a market leader in its field. We are proud of what we produce: the super strong, gold colored Twaron® aramid fiber, which makes countless products around the world safer, stronger, and more durable. The foundation of this fiber is created at our production site in Delfzijl. Further processing takes place at our plant in Emmen, home to the world’s largest aramid factory with 600 employees.
The department specializes in refining aramid fibers. Within this department, various processes are carried out, each giving the aramid fibers and yarns their specific properties. We twist, finish, assemble, and crimp yarns, and we process yarns into pulp. Producing pulp is one of the key responsibilities in this role. Twaron® pulp is mainly used in gaskets and brake pads, but we also serve many other niche markets.
The 5 shift teams typically consist of one Unit Leader, two Senior Operators, six Mechanical Operators, and seven Base Operators, where teamwork is essential.
