The role
For this position, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced HR Specialist Health & Vitality to strengthen our team. In this role, you play a crucial part in supporting managers with guiding employees who are on sick leave and in promoting sustainable employability within our organization. You contribute to various projects in the field of health and vitality and serve as an important link in our ambition to create a healthy and productive work environment. You will work alternately at two locations: two days per week in Delfzijl and one day in Emmen.
What will you do?
- You manage absenteeism cases and advise managers on integrated solutions.
- You ensure correct application of the Gatekeeper Improvement Act (WvP).
- You coordinate projects related to health, vitality and sustainable employability.
- You identify trends and translate them into concrete improvement proposals.
- You work two days per week in Delfzijl and one day in Emmen.

About the department
The entire HR team consists of approximately 30 colleagues working across the different Teijin Aramid locations. This includes HR Managers, HR Business Partners, the Shared Service Center, and various HR Specialists—such as Learning & Development, Compensation & Benefits, and Recruitment. You will work within the HR Shared Service Center (HR SSC), which is centrally managed from our headquarters in Arnhem.
In this role, you will form a duo with our other Specialist Health & Vitality, who supports the Arnhem and Emmen locations. Together, you ensure a consistent and professional approach to absenteeism management and vitality across all our sites.
Your profile
You have completed at least a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, such as Health Sciences, Human Resource Management (HRM), or a comparable discipline, supplemented with relevant work experience. In addition, you possess the following qualities for this role:
- You are able to connect absenteeism management, sustainable employability, and prevention.
- You work in a structured and proactive manner.
- You have strong communication and influencing skills.
- You have extensive knowledge of the Gatekeeper Improvement Act (WvP).
- You hold at least a CROV diploma; registration as a case manager is an advantage.
- You have experience in supporting employees in the areas of health and vitality.

- Attractive salary – This position falls within our collective labor agreement scale 10 (€4,600 to €6,900 gross per month). Your salary will be based on your experience and education.
- Almost 10 weeks of vacation per year – Yes, really! Four weeks are legally required. The remaining six weeks can be taken, paid out, or saved for later.
- Excellent secondary benefits – 8.33% holiday allowance, and a favorable pension plan with a low personal contribution.
