Distribution Specialist

Do you want to play a key role in managing international logistics and production? As a Distribution Specialist, you ensure smooth collaboration with external converters and continuously work on optimizing the supply chain. .

Your tasks are varied and come with significant responsibility: 

  • Placing and monitoring production orders with external converters
  • Organizing the transport of raw materials to converters and the return transport of finished products
  • Monitoring production progress and taking corrective action where necessary
  • Maintaining daily contact with converters and managing production data via the Converter Portal
  • Keeping track of inventory across the supply chain and ensuring accurate administration
  • Identifying bottlenecks and proactively proposing solutions
  • Contributing to process improvements and logistics projects, with a focus on lead time, cost, and performance (KPIs)

Role and team

You report to the Global Converting Integration Manager and are part of the Converting Team: a compact and dedicated team of 5 colleagues (including 2 Distribution Specialists). Together, you manage an international network of converters and collaborate daily with partners worldwide. The team is part of the Supply Chain & Procurement department. Your work location is Arnhem. 

As a Distribution Specialist (Converting), you are the key link between Teijin Aramid and external converters, who process our raw materials into high-quality products such as bullet-resistant fabrics. You ensure smooth transport and production processes and have plenty of room to make processes smarter, faster, and more efficient.

Your profile

You have completed a higher professional education (HBO), preferably in logistics or supply chain, and have 1 to 3 years of work experience. You are ready to apply your knowledge in practice and are eager to grow in a role with a lot of responsibility and variety. In addition, you bring the following: 

  • You communicate clearly and convincingly, both in Dutch and English
  • You enjoy working with numbers and systems; you are comfortable with Excel, and experience with SAP is a plus
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment, maintaining oversight and setting the right priorities
  • You are service-oriented and solution-focused, combining quality and speed smartly
  • You are energized by improvement and optimization, actively contributing to a more efficient logistics chain, satisfied customers, and reduced costs

  • Attractive salary – This position falls within our CLA scale 7 (€3,722 – €5,046 gross per month), with your salary based on your experience and education.
  • Almost 10 weeks of vacation per year – Yes, really! Four weeks are legally required. The remaining six weeks can be taken, cashed out, or saved for later.
  • Excellent secondary benefits – 8.33% holiday allowance and a favorable pension plan with a low personal contribution.
