Department and role
The laboratory is responsible for performing analyses on both our end products (textile laboratory) and intermediate products (chemical laboratory). You report directly to the QHSE Manager. As Head of Laboratory, you are the central figure in the team, ensuring everything runs smoothly. You manage daily operations and maintain product quality. Additionally, you are tasked with optimizing processes and driving innovation. You keep our laboratory up to date with the latest developments and ensure we always meet the highest standards.

- Team Leadership: You are the coach and motivator who helps your colleagues grow and perform within clear frameworks. These performances are measurable and shared both within and outside the lab.
- Quality Assurance: You ensure reliable test results and a safe, high-quality, and efficient working environment.
- Innovation: You work on the continuous improvement of processes and contribute to research and development projects.
- Budget Management: You maintain a clear overview of required resources, planning, and maintenance.
- Compliance & Standards: You ensure everything runs according to regulations and required standards in terms of quality, safety, and the environment.
Your profile
For the position of Head of Laboratory, you have at least a completed bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar role within a laboratory environment, and:
- You have demonstrable knowledge of laboratory techniques, quality control, and relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- You are well-versed in the relevant quality systems and procedures.
- You are clear in your expectations toward your team, decisive, and mindful of content, results, and relationships.
- You focus on the development of both your department and the team.
- You promote active collaboration within and outside the department.
- You have a connecting communication style; you are curious, a good listener, and ask the right questions.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

- This role is graded within our own CLA salary scale 9 (€ 4,096 – € 5,975 gross per month), based on your experience and education.
