Role and department
You will be working in a close-knit QHSE team of approximately 10 FTEs, including 3 other HSE colleagues. The QHSE department is responsible for the QHSE activities at the Emmen location. This team plays a coordinating role in supporting the organization in the QHSE area. The department works closely with the production and maintenance departments on-site and with QHSE colleagues at the other locations in Arnhem and Delfzijl.
As a Health and Safety Officer, you support the line organization in fulfilling the obligations related to "Health & Safety" (HS) for Teijin Aramid in Emmen, ensuring that the company complies with legal requirements and internal policies. You are responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures that meet the highest HSE standards.
Your profile
Your Profile In the role of Health & Safety Officer, you have at least a completed higher professional education (HBO), supplemented with a completed Higher Safety Science (HVK) program. You have at least 5 years of work experience in a similar role in a production environment. Additionally, knowledge of chemical substances is a highly interesting plus, and:
- You have a good level of abstraction, you are good at planning and organizing, and you achieve agreed results on time;
- You have extensive experience with project management and change processes;
- You possess excellent communication skills, both in Dutch and English, and you can communicate with all levels within the organization. You are able to overcome resistance naturally;
- You have very good influencing skills and know how to use them effectively;
- You have extensive knowledge and experience in accurately assessing and managing occupational risks, and you are familiar with applicable methodologies and practices such as RI&E;
- You have knowledge of ISO management systems such as 9001, 14001, and 45001.

- This position is classified in our own collective labor agreement scale 10 (€ 4500 to € 6800 gross per month), your salary will be based on your experience and education;
- 20 vacation days per year and an additional 26 leave days as a Personal Choice Budget, which you can use as extra vacation days or have paid out; a total of 46 leave days on a full-time basis.
- We offer excellent secondary benefits such as 8.33% holiday pay, a market-conform pension with a low personal contribution, profit-sharing between 0 and 10%, and flexible working hours;
