Process Engineer Long Term

As a Process Engineer you are responsible for developing strategic and knowledge-intensive technology issues for the longer term and you carry out independent research and studies. In addition: 

  • You are a specialist and point of contact when it comes to questions about the production process and applied technologies and you proactively come up with proposals for research programs; 
  • Work together with creative process technologists in a challenging and dynamic environment where almost all unit operations that are common in process technology are present; the entire chemical operations manual is covered – from reaction and distillation to filtration, evaporation and extraction. 
  • Build up your experience across the entire playing field of chemical technology.

Role and department

The Technology & Engineering department supports the production process, assesses QHSE risks and carries out projects in the areas of safety, environment, stability, process optimization and cost efficiency.

As a process engineer you have an important role in improving production processes, process safety and product quality. You provide substantive leadership to multidisciplinary project teams, and you are given the space and responsibility to organize your projects from idea to implementation.

Your profile

To be considered for this challenging position 

  • Do you have at least a completed HBO/academic education in chemical technology; 
  • Preferably, you have a number of years of relevant experience in the chemical process industry or, for example, at an engineering firm; 
  • Is process technology your passion and do you enjoy working in a dynamic working environment on challenging projects; 
  • Are you able to make well-considered decisions quickly; 
  • Do you like to use your knowledge and experience to optimize the safety, stability and cost-efficiency of processes; 
  • Do you have persuasive power and enjoy working intensively with different disciplines; 
  • Are you results-oriented and steadfast and like to take the initiative.

  • This position is classified in our own collective labor agreement scale 10 (€4551 to €6852 gross per month), your salary is based on your experience and education;

  • We offer a pleasant work/life balance, a generous competitive salary & good secondary conditions such as holiday pay 8.33%, competitive pension with a low personal contribution, profit sharing between 0 and 10% and flexible working hours;
