Air emissions

Emissions resulting from our production processes account for a large proportion of our carbon footprint. Therefore, it is very important that we measure all of our emissions to air and water. Since 2005, we have actively monitored these emissions and have worked to limit them as much as possible. An overview of the most significant emissions to air and water can be found in the sustainability report. As is shown, most of our emissions have decreased since 2005. The rise in certain values can be ascribed to isolated incidents and higher production volumes. In the future, however, we will continue in our efforts to reduce these values.

The two graphs below show our CO2 and NOx emissions to air, as well as the per–ton-of–product index. Most of our 2010 emissions totals are below those in the index for 2005. In the future, we will continue to improve on these and on our other results as well.
