Ethics and integrity are an integral part of our PURE core values. PURE stands for Passion, Unity, Respect & Excellence. We have an Ethics Commission, which oversees compliance with our code of conduct. Members of this commission adhere to a strict policy of confidentiality, and it is possible to approach these individuals anonymously. Teijin Aramid also has confidential advisers – one for each site – and a complaints committee.
In addition to this, employees are encouraged to discuss any dilemmas they may face – especially those involving ethics and integrity – with their colleagues or supervisors. Questions of integrity also play a part in the assessment of new employees.
Doing business in an ethical way
Teijin Ltd. has signed the UN Global Compact guidelines. Our code of conduct is based on these guidelines and on our PURE core values. This code of conduct helps guide us in our decisions to work with certain customers and suppliers, and it provides an ethical standard for our employees on a day-to-day basis.
