Teijin Aramid is a pioneer of reinforcement technology for fiber optic cables, investing in this market ever since its emergence some two decades ago. Today, fiber optic cable reinforcement is a primary application area for our products.
In-depth knowledge
Our in-depth understanding of the causes of damage to fiber optic and other cables (including bending, stretching and mechanical stress) has resulted in the development of a number of protective solutions using Twaron® D2200 and 1052 and Technora®.
Range of solutions
Twaron and Technora offer customized reinforcement solutions for duct cables, ADSS, indoor and outdoor FTTH, drop wires, POF cables, and more. Specific products protect from water penetration and gunshot from hunters. Spin-off products include ripcord and the reinforcement of earphone cord and ignition wire.
