In a world with an ever-increasing demand for energy and diminishing reserves of fossil fuels, there’s a growing need for enabling technologies that allow us to make the most of known reserves and to exploit those that have so far proven uneconomical. For over two decades, Teijin Aramid has been committed to providing enabling solutions to the Oil and Gas industry.
As a result, our high-performance para-aramid fibers, Twaron and Technora, offer unique properties, such as high tenacity, high strength and high-tensile modulus. And this means our fibers are perfectly suited to reinforcing a wide range of products.
Reinforced thermoplastic pipes
Twaron Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipes (RTP) are characterized by their corrosion resistance, high-pressure rating, low weight and high flexibility. Available in long lengths, and having reliable couplings, superior UV resistance and high durability, Twaron RTPs form a state-of-the-art pipeline solution in applications for transport of oil, gas and water.
In addition to RTPs, Twaron and Technora are excellently suited to reinforcing the broadest range of deepwater equipment, including umbilicals, flexible flowlines and risers, seismic cables, offloading marine hoses, ropes, straps and slings. To illustrate the breadth of this range of deepwater applications, watch our movie ”Let’s go deeper”.
