Research & Development
Research & Development is at the heart of everything we do as a company. Our R&D specialists work closely together with people from many other disciplines, such as manufacturing and sales & marketing. Solutions 2.0 is a platform within Teijin Aramid used to leverage the expertise and know-how across the Teijin Group to deliver innovative solutions in cooperation with external parties. Specifically, Solutions 2.0 works by identifying the unmet needs of end customers where the Teijin Group could make a positive contribution.
Application Competence Center
Located in Wuppertal, Germany, the Application Competence Center (ACC) is a state-of-the-art Application & Development facility. By using the research laboratories and testing facilities here, our experts work closely with customers to develop new materials and products, as well as creating solutions for the application areas of ballistics, heat and cut protection, and friction.
Technical Center Asia
In a high-rise building in Shanghai on the 36th floor, you’ll find our Technical Center Asia. This state-of-the-art laboratory has been created to strengthen the relationship with our local customers. The facility plays an important role in technically supporting our Asian customers by helping them to develop and improve their aramid-based solutions.
