Aramid is our passion, and it is our ambition is to be the best aramid supplier in the world. Research & Development has an important role to play in achieving this. At Teijin Aramid R&D in Arnhem, 150 highly trained and committed professionals are working together to develop high-performance aramid solutions for today and tomorrow.
Our R&D team is working on solutions for locations across the company. For our Delfzijl plant, where the monomers and the aramid polymer are produced, we are working on chemical reactions, methods of separation, and process optimization. For our plant in Emmen, where the yarns are spun, we are working on spinning technology, process automation, upscaling of activities and troubleshooting. Together with the marketing groups, we are busy developing new applications for our aramid, frequently in cooperation with our customers. Internally, we develop yarns for the future while carrying out fundamental research, using a full range of testing equipment and analytical methods and drawing on a wealth of knowledge.
Working for us, you will also be involved in activities outside the R&D department. Cooperation is the keyword here: cooperation with Production, with Marketing & Sales, with customers, universities, institutes and suppliers. Our R&D teams are multidisciplinary and include chemical engineers, mechanical engineers, physicists, analytical chemists and others from MTS+ (Bachelors) to PhD level. You can choose a managerial (project management) career path or one focused on scientific expertise. Whichever path you choose, we expect you to show independence and initiative in further shaping your position and career. We will, of course, be there, too, to help you reach your full potential.
