Teijin Limited, our Japanese parent company and the holding company of Teijin Group, is listed on the stock exchanges in Tokyo and Osaka. The group had a consolidated turnover of 815.7 billion yen ($9.8 billion) and 761.5 billion yen ($9.2 billion) in assets in the fiscal year that ended on March 31, 2011. The first manufacturer of rayon yarn in Japan, Teijin Limited was founded in 1918. Since purchasing Teijin Aramid in 2000, Teijin Group has made huge structural investments in the business, allowing Teijin Aramid to substantially grow its business.
