In order to serve our customers, we have built up a network of valued suppliers, which all play a vital role in the supply chain we operate in. We emphasize a professional, collaborative, challenging and trustworthy approach, which creates competitive advantages by getting the maximum possible value from our supplier relationships.

We select our suppliers based on their reliability, innovative capability and sustainability. It’s only by entering into relationships with such suppliers that we can achieve our goals as a company.

Reliability

We look for goods and services that are competitively priced and of a high and consistent quality. As a growing business, we also look for suppliers that are able to give us security of supply in both the short and long term.

Innovative

We are constantly looking for ways to increase our competitiveness, (e.g., by reducing the Total Cost of Ownership), and for solutions that add value for our customers. To do this, we work closely with suppliers with proven capacity to innovate.

Sustainability

As we describe in our CSR declaration, we place great importance on acting responsibly and we continuously work to improve the ecological footprint of our products and services. That’s why we look for like-minded suppliers that can support us as we deliver on these commitments.

Our purchasing department

Our Teijin Aramid purchasing organization has a centralized structure, with the exception of technical materials and services, which are purchased by individual sites.
